We brought WEY 03 to Mirdif City Centre from 13 to 17 May. The event ran from 10 AM to 10 PM Monday through Thursday. On Friday to Sunday, we extended hours to midnight to welcome weekend visitors. The response was fantastic.
WEY is the premium SUV line of GWM, Great Wall Motors. The WEY 03 sits at the heart of that lineup. It combines smart technology, strong performance, and long-distance capability in one capable package.
Introducing the WEY 03 to the UAE
Many visitors came in curious. They had heard of GWM but had not yet explored the WEY brand. We changed that quickly.
The WEY 03 is a plug-in hybrid SUV built for real-world driving. It does not compromise. It delivers both electric efficiency and petrol confidence. Visitors appreciated that balance.
We positioned the WEY 03 clearly: this is not just an efficient car. It is a premium SUV that happens to be incredibly smart about energy.
Powertrain That Impressed Everyone
The WEY 03’s powertrain was the highlight of every conversation we had.
At its core sits a 1.5T high thermal efficiency engine. Two high-performance electric motors work alongside it. The front motor delivers 70 kW. The rear motor delivers 150 kW.

Visitors were surprised by the electric range. 130 km covers most daily driving in the UAE with zero fuel use. That resonated strongly with urban drivers.

- Hybrid Mode: Blends both power sources for optimal output
Each mode adapts to driving needs. People found this flexibility genuinely useful.

The WEY 03 offers five driving modes. We walked guests through each one:

UAE roads vary. From busy city streets to open highways and off-road tracks, the WEY 03 handles them all. We used real-life examples to explain each mode. Guests found it easy to understand.

Long-Distance Confidence
One of the most common questions we received was about long trips. Can the WEY 03 handle a drive from Dubai to Abu Dhabi or beyond?
The answer is yes, confidently. The combination of electric range and the petrol engine remove range anxiety. Drivers can rely on the EV range for daily commutes. The petrol engine steps in on longer journeys without any interruption.
We highlighted how this makes the WEY 03 ideal for UAE life. Short drives to the office use no fuel. Weekend highway trips draw on both systems efficiently.
A Premium SUV Experience Inside and Out
We encouraged every visitor to sit inside the WEY 03. The interior delivered on the premium promise.
The build quality stood out. Materials felt solid and refined. The layout was clean and intuitive. Tech features were accessible without being overwhelming.
The stance of the WEY 03 outside was equally strong. It looks like a serious SUV. Wide, confident, and well-proportioned. Guests often commented on how premium it looked for the segment.
Strong Interest, Strong Conversations
Across five days, we had hundreds of meaningful conversations. Visitors came from across Dubai and beyond. Families, professionals, and fleet buyers all stopped to learn more.
Demo drives generated the most excitement. Guests came back from their drives with big smiles. The AWD launch and instant electric torque were consistently the highlights.
We collected strong leads and registrations throughout the week. The WEY 03 made a clear impression at Mirdif City Centre. We are proud of how the event came together and grateful for the incredible turnout.
